Heppner provides a picturesque setting for the Morrow County Fair. If some of you haven't been to Heppner recently, stop by. The city has a very modern look.
We had a surprise welcoming committee at the Morrow County Fair in Heppner.
We were met by Shirley Adams on the left, member of the fair board. LaRae Kindle, fair secretary, next to Shirley. Vicki and Ken. Judge Terry Tallman, County Commissioner and his charming wife Cheryl on the right. |

This was a fun childrens talent competition. with Judge Tallman as judge.
The Morrow County Fair has a new animal barn. It is large and roomy.
Up on the wall of the new animal barn there are samples of brands used by local ranchers to identify their herds. Cattle sometimes don't stay within their fences when they are grazing the hills of Morrow County.
Here we have Shawn Dirksen with his Hampshire pig named Wilbert. Click here to learn more about Hampshire swine. |
|
Morrow County had a nice area for a large quilting display.
We had the best chicken Fajitas ever at Zamora's Mexican Food Stand. If you get to any fairs where Jaime Zamora has his food stand...buy some. It is the best. |
|
Here is another great way to end an evening...a rodeo as the sunset begins its journey from fluorescent colors, to dusk, then twinkling stars. We had a great time in Heppner. |
