Our visit to the Josephine County Fair in Grants Pass was interesting. The main parking lot was full. There was an auxiliary lot operated by the Kiwanis. It seemed like we parked half way to Cave Junction. The yellow arrow points to a ferris wheel at the fair way off in the distance. But seriously, It is so great to see so many people supporting the local County Fair. This was a large fair and very well attended.

We worked our way to the 4H animal barns. They had character and are well maintained.
Here we go into the 4H awards barn.
This was a fun awards ceremony. This little girl with a trophy about as big as her, had just won for having the most productive swine. The people in the stands were standing up and screaming like it was the biggest thing to ever happen. My guess would be that the little girl will carry the experience for a long time.

Grants Pass is in the heart of Oregon's gold region. These folks were trying their luck. There were some little nuggets found.
The old dunk tank is always a fun crowd pleaser.
The fairgrounds had a "Tuff Truck Monster Trucks" exhibition that filled the stands with screaming fans. |
