So here we are finally...at the Curry County Fair in Gold Beach. We arrived Saturday morning after driving over from the Grants Pass area. Hwy 23 through Galice and Agness should be driven once by every adventurer. The weather was perfect beach weather, 65 degrees, sunny with a breeze off the ocean. What a day. In this picture the fairgrounds are straight ahead by the ocean. That is a ferris wheel in the middle.
At the gate we were met by Rhoda Denning, the charming bride of Mr. Denning the Gold Beach School Principal. The Dennings moved to Gold Beach from Phoenix, Arizona to find a good place for their children to grow and prosper.
Oh my gosh...Edna Riley.
