This is such a picturesque setting. We are here about 8:30 on a Saturday morning before the Fair really opens. We have found there is much 4H activity going on early in the morning at fairs. | |
The gates aren't really open yet. We had some of the best biscuits and sausage gravy with the carnival folks. | |

This was an interesting experience. Ken has never milked a cow or goat. Collette did not seem to be bothered by the clumsy handling. The goats udder and teat is rather firm and warm. This skill needs to be added to our resume. | |
I wander what kind of caption could go on this picture? What is actually going on is this. When goats are milked they get a tray of grain to eat while the milking is going on. They really like the grain. When it is milking time, the goats will run to the milking stand to eat the grain. The milking is incidental to their eating grain. So these goats may be saying "pick me...pick me". |
