We were amazed at the size of the Clackamas County Fair. It is very large and full of people...but well organized.
More folks heading for the curly fries, kettle corn and the other two basic fair food groups.
This setting among old fir trees feels just like going to summer camp.
More wide open spaces around the animal barns.
The Clackamas County Fair had large area made up like an early 20th century town. There were stores with proprietors dressed just like you would imagine they looked back then. It was a fun area and must have required a lot of work.
How about a Llama judging contest. They require some interesting grooming.
Something has these goats attention. Could be some milking action (with grain snacks) coming their way.
This was an interesting Duck area. It was open and roomy.
More Steer grooming before the judging.
There was fun Rodeo action at the fair. This event required three cowboys with their "cutting" horses to cut three specific marked calves from this herd of 30. The calves do not like to leave the herd.
More Rodeo action...bareback riding. The sun began to set and we munched on Kettle Corn. What an excellent end to a fun day at the fair. |
